The best solution for a small layout or anyone starting out with DCC. 2 amp capacity. Usually 1 or 2 operators and using a fascia-mounted panel for the 2nd operator. Maximum of 4 cabs. The PowerCab must be plugged in to run layout. Typically most applications use a 7 to 10 foot cable.  Use a CP6 to protect the Powercab against short circuits and divide the layout into as many as 6 sections.

The 6 wire cable for the Powercab carries full track power. Therefore cable lengths longer than 10 feet are not recommended. However a second cab CAN be added with a longer cable.

The replacement Power Supply for this kit is a P114 (5240221). Using ANY other Power Supply is not recommended and will void the factory warranty

The SB5 and Powercab have built in over current sensing for basic self-protection that will continuously try to reset until destroyed if left uncorrected. They do not have manual breakers that will trip or fuses that will blow.
